Mircea Eliade’s book Shamanism carries the additional title; Archaic techniques of ecstasy. It gives an excellent global view of the mystical vocation of Shamanism. It describes in detail practices pertaining to Shamans from various parts of the world including; Australia, Siberia, and South America, Tibet, China and the Far East.
